Anti-Oxidant and Anti-Aging Activities of Callus Culture from Three Rice Varieties

The aims of this study were to induce calli from the seeds three rice varieties (Hommali 105, Munpu, and Niawdum) investigate their anti-aging potential. First, cultured on a Murashige Skoog medium (MS medium) supplemented with 2 mg/L 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), 1 1-Naphthalene acetic (NAA), 6-Benzylaminopurine (BAP). After weeks, extracted ethanol. Then, phenolic contents determined by spectrophotometer amino acids identified ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC). Their cytotoxicity, anti-oxidant (potassium ferricyanide reducing power assay (PFRAP), DPPH radical scavenging (DPPH), lipid peroxidation inhibition (LPO), superoxide dismutase activity (SOD)), (keratinocyte proliferation, anti-collagenase, anti-inflammation, anti-tyrosinase) activities also investigated. Munpu callus (385%) was obtained higher yield than Hommali (322%) Niawdum (297%) calli. results revealed that enhanced in Moreover, rich glutamic acid, alanine, gamma aminobutyric (GABA). extracts showed no cytotoxic effects at concentration equal or lower 0.25 mg/mL. highest (PFRAP (0.81 mg AAE/mL), (68.22%), LPO (52.21%), SOD (67.16%)) found extract. This extract had keratinocyte proliferation (43.32%), anti-collagenase (53.83%), anti-inflammation (85.40%), anti-tyrosinase (64.77%) activities. experimental suggest amounts bioactive compounds can be induction formation.
